Pradeep Dharane, ,Managing Director, and country head of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) now named as Applied Micro (APM),
He has started Applied Micro in Pune India in 2008 and now grown up to ~180 strong talented team of engineers and contributing very well to parent company. APM is fabless semiconductor company involved in computing and connectivity solutions for next-generation cloud infrastructure and data centers. He manages complete SoC product development at Pune and Bangalore design centers.
In his long career of around 26 years in industry, he has managed the design center’s operations in India along with Engineering, general and administrative functions. Prior to Applied Micro he was with Marvell Semiconductor. He moved to Pune to start their India Design center and built a very strong ~200 engineer team in three years. Before Marvell he was with HP, Agilent Technologies in USA, Malaysia in different engineering and Management roles worked on Sensor solution and printer solutions.
He has been instrumental in building large teams within Applied Micro as well as spearheaded various initiatives for the industry. These initiatives include setting up college labs and extensive training programs to nurture engineering talent, supporting start-ups, and leading industry associations’ activities that have resulted in positively influencing the overall ecosystem. He is widely recognized as a key opinion leader and has been a constant support to Government/Industry bodies in framing key policies that have
contributed to a competitive ecosystem for semiconductor growth and development in India.
Pradeep holds two international patents in SoC design. He was a board member of the Executive Council of IESA; He also serves as the Executive Council of board member Software Export Association of Pune (SEAP). He was General Chair of VLSI Design and embedded systems international conference 2013. He actively contributes to the standardization, ecosystem development and market research initiatives in the Indian ESDM sector.
Pradeep received a Master of Technology in Electronics Design Technology from Centre for Electronics Design Technology (CEDT).
